Boong-Do (Ji Hyun Woo) is a scholar from 1694 during the Joseon Dynasty, who supports the
reinstatement of Queen In-Hyun after she is deposed due to scheming by Lady
Jang.
In 2012 Choi Hee-Jin (Yoo In Na), an unsuccessful actress, lands her big break when she is cast in the drama "New Jang Heebin" as Queen In-hyun. Accidentally Boong-do travels to 2012, landing in modern-day Seoul. There he crosses paths with Hee-Jin.
